Basel Zoo
Basel Zoo is a zoological garden in Basel. It is located in the city district of Basel-Bachletten on the river Birsig. It was opened in 1874, making it the oldest zoo in Switzerland. With 7017 animals in 628 species, it also has by far the largest animal population.
